What is C2EA and what do we do?

The Campaign to End AIDS (C2EA) is a diverse, exciting coalition of people living with HIV & AIDS, their advocates and their loved ones. Together, we're demanding that our leaders exert the political will to stop the epidemic, in the U.S. and abroad, once and for all.

Housing Works is turning up the heat on its summer events series featuring FOUR ways to find steals, deals, food and fun-draising. Join us for our annual outdoor tradition as Open Air Street Fair kicks off the season on June 3rd. This festive, all-day shopping bazaar takes place on the quaint cobblestone Crosby Street outside of the Bookstore Cafe. Thousands of donated books, records, and CDs will be sold for $1 a piece; unique prints will be sold by Pageant Book & Print Shop; contemporary men’s and women’s clothing from Meme’s and cowboy boots and western finery from Space Cowboy; get bikes and biking accessories from Bicycle Habitat; great snacks from our cafe and food trucks Taïm, Red Hook Lobster Pound, Mexicue, and Coolhaus; and music curated by Two Boots pizza, our Americana Jamboree partners from Odetta Hartman, The Rad Trads, Cassandra Jenkins, and Jon Bell.

Refinery29, THE online style hub and our personal go-to for all things fashion and beauty, is also partnering with Housing Works on an exclusive Open Air Street Fair experience. Their New York editor has combed our Thrift Shop Warehouse for her favorite finds and is setting up shop for one day only at the event. This is your chance to shop Refinery29 editor-approved fashion, accessories and home goods for a fantastic cause – ours!

Housing Works Bookstore Cafe is giving you three chances to improve your musical aptitude. A Weimar Flute: Presented by Morningside Opera combines sections of Mozart’s The Magic Flute with literature from Weimar Germany to create a new music-theater piece about community, commercialism, and regeneration. Tickets are limited for the 6/11, 6/14, 6/18 performances so buy yours in advance.

Stay cool with savings on summer looks at Housing Works West Village Thrift Shop with the premiere of Hey Ladies, our summer sales series. Get first dibs on thrifty treasures including vintage accessories, contemporary fashion and a few surprises. Enjoy this weeknight shopping revelry the third Thursday of each month starting June 21st from 6-8pm. Bonus! Donate a pre-loved item during the event and get a 30% off coupon for your next visit.

Looking to stay in shape despite your day drinking activity? Beat the lazy days of summer and join Housing Works for two physical challenges for a great cause. Gear up for Braking the Cycle, the three-day fundraising ride from Boston to New York that will feature over 100 cyclists in a civil rights march on two wheels to support Housing Works’ fight against AIDS and homelessness. Train with a team or register to ride solo from September 28-30 at brakingthecycle.org. Registration is NOW OPEN.

Whew! That’s a lot of exciting events for one summer. Mark your calendars as these FOUR summer events benefit ONE great cause!
